Misc. information

Misc. information

In the early 90s one yogi, who claimed to have an ashram in Srisailam was visiting the USA. A Vice-chaceller of Andhra University and a few others joined him when he visited us. He stayed in our house for a few days, occupied the ground floor bedroom suite we had in our Plainsboro, NJ house. From day one, I was very uncomfortable with his presence. My ego did not allow me to touch his feet in reverence. He had given private interviews to many who came to him. One or two ladies were quite upset with his comments also. I felt that he was imitating Baba to impress us, Sai devotees. The day he arrived was a Friday. We had our Sai center bhajan weekly session as usual in our house. He arrived just before Aarati time. Came straight to the front and stood in front of Swami's picture facing us. We all were quite annoyed and uncomfortable. Rao did not know how to handle the situation. He continued giving the Aarati. Some blamed Rao for bringing him to the center. But Rao had no idea who he was and what was to be expected. That yogi told everyone that he and Baba are like brothers. Baba is more advanced that He can create things, whereas he, Shiva bala yogi(??) can only transport things. He was giving out the sacred ash to his visitors. (After he vacated the room, I found a bag full of ash in the closet). Anyway, one day after returning from a day trip, he entered the house through the garage and I was standing leaning against the dividing wall of our kitchen and the family room. He walked over straight to me, bent over and touched my feet. I was shocked. I blurted out "why are you touching my feet? Is it because I did not touch yours like all others did?" He replied "no amma. You are like my mother. That is why". The others stood behind him listening to the dialogue. The conversation was in Telugu. I was quite embarassed and confused.

After a few months of this incident, I had a dream:
It was a huge auditorium. I was standing on the second floor and watching all the people entering the auditorium. I saw Baba, Buddha, Jesus, Adi Shankara and this yogi entering one after the other. I woke up with the thought that all are the same. Atleast my negative thoughts about him were lessened.

Later on, I heard many negative stories about him. By then, I had no interest in the negative parts.
One more thing - we had a telephone bill of $365.00 with his and his followers' calls to India and domestic USA calls. Rao did not mind, but I minded it. I haven't heard about him after that. I even forgot exactly what name he went by.

The year 2009 is almost coming to an end. I just cannot recall any dreams. I am sure I have had some in these six years. I have other significant dreams I would like to document in which Baba's form was not present. But, they are spiritual ones. I wish my readers would comment on my dreams, help interpret them also. In my next post, I would like to write about the dream in which the late Sri Chandrasekhara Saraswati of Kanchi Peetham blessed me with His appearence.
